Dr. John Serrao has been practicing in Orlando since 1991.  He received his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine and the Autonomous University of Guadalajara.   Dr. Serrao performed his residency at Maryland General Hospital where he received national recognition as “Resident of the Year.”  His reputation for excellence can be expected in his cosmetic practice as well.

Dr. Serrao's previous training and expertise with intra-abdominal lasers, laparoscopic surgery, and precise injection techniques, assisted him in the transition into his cosmetic practice, along with countless hours of continuing medical education.  He has done several preceptorships with world renowned physicians in the field of aesthetics and cosmetic surgery at Harvard University, John Hopkins School of Medicine, and Duke University. Larissa graduated from Towson State University and Maryland General Hospital School of Nursing and has been a registered nurse for 25 years.  Her nursing career has included labor and delivery, women’s health, surgery and recovery room.  Because she understands the need of today’s total woman, she began her training in aesthetics and skin care almost ten years ago.  Larissa was most anxious to train with Dr. Serrao when he decided to bring the exciting LipoSelection procedure to the practice and works closely with him as his surgical assistant.  It’s comforting to know that she is always available to answer any of your questions and will see you whenever needed during your recovery period.  She is very knowledgeable in all of the latest techniques available today, as well as the exciting advancements that are coming in the future.  As an Advanced Certified Endermologist, she has been featured on Channel 6 News WKMG for her expertise in cellulite reduction and lipomassage.  Recently, Larissa was a featured guest on Clear Channel Radio MAGIC 107.7 and discussed skin care with Dave and Leslye on the Morning Show.   As Patient Care Coordinator she oversees every detail of you visit to Aesthetic Clinique from the educational consultation to holding your hand as Dr. Serrao’s assistant.  Her caring demeanor, knowledge of the latest advancements in aesthetics and artistic eye create a combination that will give you the best possible outcome.  She truly wants each patient to have a positive experience at Aesthetic Clinique ~ Body, Skin and Wellness Centré.

The consultation is of great importance and at the Aesthetic Clinique, we aim to answer all of your questions and get you fully prepared for the procedure during your one-on-one meeting with Dr. John Serrao and his cosmetic nurse, Larissa.

Your first lipo consultation will last about an hour and is complimentary.  You will be expected to give comprehensive information regarding past medical history and your current medical status. You will be asked detailed questions about the result you hope to achieve and, following an examination, Dr Serrao will give you a full assessment. This will include the likely outcome of the procedure as well as an explanation of the risks and benefits of the treatment. The doctor may also suggest alternative or adjunctive therapies if required and will advise you about weight control, diet, exercise, and lifestyle changes that he feels you may need to make.

You may chose to schedule the procedure at the time of your initial consultation, or you may decide at a later time.  Whatever your decision, it will be our pleasure to assist you in any way that we can.
