1. The fatty layer is infused with tumescent fluid, a saline solution with medications in it to anesthetize and protect the tissue.  This fluid will numb the site and shrink the blood vessels, thus minimizing blood loss and bruising. This solution expands the area making it easier to break up the fatty tissue in the next step, VASER.
2. The high frequency vibration of VASER ultrasonic probes causes the fat cells to break apart and emulsify or liquify into the infusion fluid leaving the surrounding tissues relatively intact.
3. Emulsified fat is easily removed with gentle suction.  The body will be contoured and the patient may be asked to stand to assure symmetry and ideal body sculpting.
4. During the healing process, your skin will retract to give you a smooth, natural-looking result.

Questions you may have about Vaser LipoSelection

The consultation is of great importance and at the Aesthetic Clinique, we aim to answer all of your questions and get you fully prepared for the procedure during your one-on-one meeting with Dr. John Serrao and his cosmetic nurse, Larissa.

Your first lipo consultation will last about an hour and is complimentary.  You will be expected to give comprehensive information regarding past medical history and your current medical status. You will be asked detailed questions about the result you hope to achieve and, following an examination, Dr Serrao will give you a full assessment. This will include the likely outcome of the procedure as well as an explanation of the risks and benefits of the treatment. The doctor may also suggest alternative or adjunctive therapies if required and will advise you about weight control, diet, exercise, and lifestyle changes that he feels you may need to make.

You may chose to schedule the procedure at the time of your initial consultation, or you may decide at a later time.  Whatever your decision, it will be our pleasure to assist you in any way that we can.
